(Cedar Rapids, IA) – On Saturday October 20, 2007, The “Iowa Federation of Republican Women” held their Biennial Convention in Des Moines. During that convention the “IFRW” voted unanimously to support Steve Rathje as their choice in the Republican Primary for the United States Senate in 2008.

The IFRW passed the following resolution at their convention:

WHEREAS: United States Senator Tom Harkin needs to be defeated in 2008;

WHEREAS: Steve Rathje has diligently campaigned and is not opposed in his campaign for United States Senate; therefore be it

RESOLVED: That the Iowa Federation of Republican Women will support Steve Rathje for the United States Senate.
